cause problems? Is Osteomyolitis a cancer? Once you have it, can it continue to cause problems at any given time even after extensive antibiotic and bone grafting treatment? Thank you

Osteomyelitis is an infection of bone. And yes, under certain circumstances it can be very difficult to treat even with extensive antibiotics and even with excision of bone. What can make it even more difficult is that there are often limitations structurally on how much bone can be removed. Or occasionally there is hardware such as plates or screws or some other implant associated with the inffection and removing these things can be a challenge. Of course in many situations this is not the case and it is cured. Hope this is the case with you.
